Our Work
Education Together is a Vieux Fort Strong initiative dedicated to supporting education in Vieux Fort through improved learning spaces, expanded access to resources and books, and community learning programmes. We believe that education empowers individuals, strengthens families and builds a brighter, more resilient community.
Support This Initiative
More books and learning materials for students and schools.
Supporting the improvement of school and community spaces.
Learning opportunities for children, youth and adults.
Our Initiatives
Through community partnerships and the support of local residents and friends, we are working on projects that expand access to education and create opportunities for lifelong learning.
Community Resource
The VFStrong Community Library aims to make books and other learning resources more accessible to children, families and residents in Vieux Fort. By creating a shared space for reading and knowledge exchange, we hope to foster a love of learning and support students of all ages.
Community Programme
In collaboration with local schools, VFStrong hosts monthly reading showcases to celebrate students, encourage a reading culture and highlight local talent. These events create a fun and supportive space for children to share their reading, stories and creativity with the community.
Scholarships
Education can open doors to new opportunities, but the financial demands of continuing one's studies can create significant barriers for students and their families. Our scholarship programme supports graduates of the Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School as they transition into tertiary education.
When we invest in education, we invest in stronger families, safer communities and a brighter future for Vieux Fort. Join us in supporting our education initiatives and help create more opportunities for the next generation.
